KandyPens Flacko Jodye Background
The KandyPens Flacko Jodye ($148 directly from KandyPens) is a brand new, limited edition collaboration between KandyPens and rapper A$AP Rocky. The Flacko Jodye vape pen supports both waxy THC concentratesand oil extracts.
KandyPens is a big player in wax pens, their products frequently making the Best Vape Pens list. The Flacko Jodye pen’s cousin, the Elite, has made the list before. The ASAP Rocky vape pen may have what it takes to fit in there, with its unique wood finish, ceramic and quartz coils and the addition of a 510 oil tank. Also, we can’t forget the custom, cigarette box-inspired carry case.
This KandyPens Flacko Jodye Vape Pen Review details the packaging and kit, design, functionality and performance of this sophisticated wax pen collabo effort. Keep reading for our thoughts!
The KandyPens Flacko Jodye Dab Pen Kit
Included in the KandyPens kit are the following:
- KandyPens Flacko Jodye vape pen
- Carry case
- Quartz & Ceramic atomizers
- Oil Tank w/ Tapered mouthpiece (fill yours or buy pre-filled 510s)
- Dab tool, charger, cleaning wipes
For vaping wax, honey, butter, shatter, or whatever other waxy concentrates you prefer, we recommend checking out the selection of Dab Tools on Amazon, to help minimize waste and store wax conveniently in silicon containers for neater, more comfortable sessions.
The ASAP Rocky pen kit includes quartz and ceramic coils, plus a refillable oil tank so you can vape whatever THC extract you wish. KandyPens adds something special to their signature vape pen carry cases by coordinating the wood veneer pen with the hardshell case’s mahogany-inspired finish.
The warm palette is complimented by the pen’s golden embellishments–particularly the oil tank’s tapered mouthpiece. Both the mouthpiece and the oil tank are a fresh look for KP. Basically, vaping this pen feels like a million bucks.
Key Features of the KandyPens Flacko Jodye Wax Pen
The standout features of the KandyPens Flacko Jodye Vaporizer are the wooden exterior and refined matching carrying case. The choice between two atomizers–quartz and ceramic–and the inclusion of a 510 oil tank with the new, tapered mouthpiece are major bonuses as well.
Notable features of the ASAP vape pen, listed for ya’:
- Supports wax, concentrate, oil, shatter–virtually any THC extract
- Wood veneer finish, golden embellishments, custom carry case
- Dual quartz coil — fast heat up for big clouds
- Ceramic chamber — nice heat retention and strong flavor
- 510 oil tank with flat, tapered mouthpiece for oil
- Four temp presets — Pink (300°F) | Red (350°F) | Green (390°F) | Blue (430°F).
- Sells for $148 directly from KandyPens.
The Design of the KandyPens Flacko Jodye Vapor Pen
The wood finish and gold accents are–as we have emphasized already–clearly stylish and sophisticated. This vape pen just feels rich. KandyPens’ fire button is always comfortable and slightly fun to press. Overall, we are familiar with KandyPens design template–not much new here, so it works per usual.
The tapered mouthpiece is new—as is the included fillable cartridge. We are loving these 510 threaded oil cartridges, which you can either pick up at the dispensary, or fill up the one they provided with essential oils. As for the atomizer coils, once they get gooey and overused, it’s nice that they are easy and inexpensive to replace (TVG25 gets you 25% off replacement atomizers at KandyPens).
The Flacko Jodye vape pen looks and feels great, and it’s nice having the complimentary case for safe keeping in your purse or pocket.
How to Use the KandyPens Flacko Jodye Pen
The KandyPens Flacko Jodye Pen is easy to use with either the quartz or ceramic coils or the 510 oil tanks.
- Wind your choice of atomizer onto the base of the vape pen (the battery)
- Use a dab tool to place a small amount of wax (~0.1g) onto the coil
- Replace the mouthpiece
- Press the power button 5x to power on
- Toggle temp presets by clicking 3x.
Once you’ve selected a temp setting, hold the button and inhale. Take it easy at first, and then increase temperature and air flow for preference.
- Either wind a pre-filled 510 threaded cartridge onto the pen’s battery
- Or, fill the supplied tank with essential oils and wind onto the pen’s body.
Pretty straight forward here: pick a temp, press the button and inhale!
Performance and Vapor Quality of the KandyPens Flacko Jodye Dab Pen
Each of the included atomizer components provides a different experience.
The ceramic coil is the choice for beginners, though anyone who enjoys cool, smooth vapor will enjoy too. The ceramic coil heats up slowly and preserves flavor nicely. This atomizer works well with higher temperatures, and the wispier vapor production of lower temp settings allows you to vape discreetly.
The dual quartz coil heats up quickly and produces apparent clouds and dense vapor. This coil is meant for more advanced users. I preferred the lower temperature settings with this coil.
My favorite thing lately, is using the 510 threaded cartridge. I have not arrived to the point of manually filling up the included tank with oil, but I did pick up a pre-filled one and set it up on the Flacko Jodye pen. Nice clouds and incredible flavor! Future of THC vaping right here.
Finally, as for the performance on the unit itself, the battery is good, so you’ll be set for the duration of At.Long.Last.ASAP without interruption. An hour or so will have you back at full charge, and you will always have the little charger with you in the kit, so no frustrating dead battery situations.
KandyPens Flacko Jodye Review: Final Thoughts
KandyPens and A$AP Rocky only collaborate with the best, so a collaboration here seems right. The refined design and inclusion of a comfortable, tapered mouthpiece and refillable 510 oil tank are an upgrade. Plus, we’ve got our choice of coils so we’re all set.
The Flacko Jodye vape pen ($148 directly from KandyPens) is good for beginner or vet dabbers because the KandyPens formula just works. We do, however, always caution users to start off slowly with KP because they really deliver in vapor quality and the range varies a great deal. Begin on low temps with slow steady draws, and adjust / increase once you get your footing.
KandyPens consistently makes our Best Vape Pens list because, let’s be honest, they don’t try to reinvent the wheel. They just give us consistently good vape pens, with innovative designs, presentation, and performance that doesn’t disappoint.
